In 1759, Charles François Leblanc de Marnaval acquires the lands of Hovels. He(It) makes build the castle. The current house calls back(reminds) particularly the Small Trianon of Versailles. Italian-style construction, the castle of Hovels illustrates with elegance arts of the XVIIIth century. Its current character is due to the work of embellishment realised mainly by Henry Viguier, resident Director-General of the General store(Mess) of the Town hall and his wife who(which) acquired it in 1917\.
