During the European Matrimoine Days, the CCNO opens its doors and gives an overview of today’s dances: urban, social and club dances. Four artists, four dance styles, a succession of initiation workshops, performances, conferences, screenings, Soul Train, DJ set and dancefloor animate the CCNO for two days. In one hour, you have the opportunity to meet Stanley, Lou, Axel and Tine around the Waack, Freestyle, Voguing and Break, moving from one studio to another, from one dance style to another!

Created in 1995, the Centre chorégraphique national d'Orléans (CCNO) is directed by choreographer Josef Nadj. For six years, the CCNO was one of the living structures of Carré-Saint-Vincent, now the Théâtre d'Orléans.

In 2001, the CCNO moved not far from the Théâtre d'Orléans to the former premises of the newspaper la République du Centre, which later gave way to the Institut d'art visuel. The Théâtre d'Orléans (CADO, CDNO, SNO and CCNO, with its own premises), ESAD, the Musée des Beaux-Arts and the Conservatoire were brought together in a creative district.
The City of Orléans is initiating work to extend the Choreographic Centre, which has been equipped with new workspaces since 2010: a creative studio, a sound and video recording studio, a research studio, storage and set construction areas and a costume making workshop.

Since January 2017, the CCNO has been headed by Maud Le Pladec. Her appointment was made at the same time as Séverine Chavrier, director of the Centre dramatique national Orléans Centre - Val de Loire.

It is one of the 19 CCNs in France. The CCN d'Orléans supports and welcomes choreographic creation. Artistic teams from all over the world come in residence and share their work at public openings or workshops. The work of choreographer Maud Le Pladec is supported by the SCC and is part of the project.
Workshops, internships for professionals or amateurs, exhibitions, screenings, participatory projects for adults, children and teenagers are all suggestions all year round to showcase and bring to life so many different dance experiences.
