Église Saint-Georges
Place de l'Église 28160 Dangeau
- Eure-et-Loir
- Centre-Val de Loire
Beautiful Romance church of the XIth and XIIth centuries, little altered. Very bare architecture, it is the Romanesque art which imposes upon the visitor, outside by its wide bedhead, indoors by its ambulatory flanked(thrown) by three absidioles. One will be pointed out a very beautiful marble triptych in the font of the XVIIth century as well as a portal(gate) adorned with cryptic sculptures representing the Parousia under the entry porch of the place(square) of the church.
