The Departmental Committee for the Protection of Nature and the Environment of Loir-et-Cher (CDPNE) organizes throughout the year, animations, outings and free conferences for the general public.
The CDPNE offers an outing animated by our curator of sites Blandine CASSAGNE, accompanied by Jean-Marc LECOEUVRE, president of the Historical and Ethnological Society of Saint-Firmin-des-Prés.
We invite you to discover how, over time, the landscape has formed, evolved, and why, following the current climate change, it could once again transform.

À propos du lieu

Site des Grouais de Chicheray
41100 Pezou
  • Loir-et-Cher
  • Centre-Val de Loire
The site of the former quarry of the Grouais de Chicheray, a listed historic monument, has provided traces of the passage of men in the Loir Vendômois valley 400,000 years ago. Above all, it has preserved the land deposited during one of the last glaciations, among the most rigorous in our local climatic history. On the site of the Grouais of Chicheray, the reading of the landscape and the observation of carved flint make it possible to understand the long climatic and geological history of the Loir vendômois.
