Roman-Byzantine style church, founded by Effroy, lord of La Roche Posay and Preuilly, completed in 1009\. It was built to serve a Benedictine abbey. With a plan in the shape of a Latin cross, it features ambulatories around the apse and chapels at the end of each transept cross. At the birth of each of the crosspieces had been primitively built a tower with a steeple. The ambulatory gives access to three apsidal chapels. In the nave, each pillar, square in mass, is confined by four rounded columns. The capitals are adorned with foliage, strips, fantastic figures and human representations. In the 15th century, the walls were consolidated by buttresses. A crypt is located under the sanctuary.
