The Local Museum of Pontarlier is installed(settled) since 1982 in an imposing bourgeois house at the heart of the city. Discreet decorative elements manifest the past of this house of time(period) Renaissance several times altered up to the Belle Epoque. It presents on three renovated levels, the history(story) of Pontarlier and its vicinity according to an original route(course) mixing(involving) archaeological vestiges, Fine Arts, engravings, posters, photographies and objects of the everyday life(daily paper). Date of first opening: On 1982.
