Willam Cody, eine mythische Figur der Eroberung des amerikanischen Westens, erhielt seinen Spitznamen «Buffalo Bill», nachdem er eine große Anzahl von Bisons getötet hatte, um die Arbeiter der Kansas Pacific Railway mit Fleisch zu versorgen. Mit seinem Ruf schuf er eine große populäre Show, die Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show, die auf amerikanischen und europäischen Tourneen gezeigt wurde, die Millionen von Zuschauern anzog. Am 28. Juli 1905 landete ein riesiger Konvoi am Bahnhof Saint-Gervais in Auxerre und die Zelte wurden in Rekordzeit für zwei Aufführungen am selben Tag gepflanzt. Der Amateurfotograf Moreau hat dieses Ereignis mit Fotos auf Glasplatten verewigt, die heute im Departementarchiv aufbewahrt werden.

A mythical figure in the conquest of the American West, Willam Cody received his nickname “Buffalo Bill” after killing large numbers of bison to supply meat to the workers of the Kansas Pacific Railway. Building on his reputation, he created a great popular show, the Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show, presented during American and European tours that attracted millions of spectators. On July 28, 1905, a gigantic convoy landed at the Saint-Gervais d'Auxerre station and the capitals were planted in record time for two performances on the same day. Moreau, amateur photographer, immortalized this event with photographs on glass plate today preserved in the Departmental Archives.

Forte della sua reputazione, crea un grande spettacolo popolare, il Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show, presentato in tournée americane ed europee che attirano milioni di spettatori. Il 28 luglio 1905, un gigantesco convoglio sbarcò alla stazione di Saint-Gervais d'Auxerre e i capitelli furono piantati in tempo record per due rappresentazioni nello stesso giorno. Moreau, fotografo dilettante, ha immortalato questo evento con fotografie su lastra di vetro oggi conservate nell'Archivio dipartimentale.

Fort de sa réputation, il crée un grand spectacle populaire, le Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show, présenté lors de tournées américaines et européennes qui attirent des millions de spectateurs. Le 28 juillet 1905, un gigantesque convoi débarque à la gare Saint-Gervais d’Auxerre et les chapiteaux sont plantés en un temps record pour deux représentations le jour-même. Moreau, photographe amateur, a immortalisé cet événement par des photographies sur plaque de verre aujourd’hui conservées aux Archives départementales.

El 28 de julio de 1905, un gigantesco convoy desembarcó en la estación Saint-Gervais de Auxerre y los capiteles fueron plantados en un tiempo récord para dos representaciones el mismo día. Moreau, fotógrafo aficionado, ha inmortalizado este acontecimiento con fotografías en placa de vidrio que hoy se conservan en el Archivo Departamental.
