"The old castle", half-timbered house of Neuglize

Building classified Historical Monument, located in the center of the old town and parish of Neuglize, "The old castle" enjoys a preserved environment of woods, meadows and ponds, characteristic of the Sologne Bourbonnaise. This half-timbered house of the late sixteenth century, ancienement remains of a noble or a bourgeois , brings together the architectural characteristics of its terroir: Colombages with cross of Saint André, gable in polychrome bricks... Built with local materials, clay, oak, lime, it is one with the surrounding nature." The old castle "Neuglize" aims to become a cultural space and an exhibition place.
