The ground floor of 7, rue du Docteur Amédée Rousset is part of a 16th-century house that belonged to a branch of the Faure-de-Verbcors family, as indicated by the coat of arms above the main door and at the top of the staircase tower. Located between the cathedral and the episcopal palace, opposite the canonical district (later transformed by the construction of the Jesuit chapel), it is a house bought by a member of this family who was probably a canon. This Faure family, now Faure-de-Verbcors, has been known since the beginning of the 13th century in Die and probably reached the nobility by the end of the 14th century.
