On the occasion of the centenary of the death of Ulysse Chevalier, an exhibition is dedicated to him. This great French-speaking historian, specialist in medieval history, religious history and the history of the Dauphiné, is the donor of the house that now hosts the archives of the city. The exhibition traces the career of Ulysse Chevalier, his work as a historian and his heritage in the city.
Launched for Heritage Days, the exhibition runs until March 2024. For more information: contact the Archives & Patrimoine department.

With more than 6 linear km of documents and works, the Archives & Heritage of Valencia Romans Agglo is the place par excellence of conservation and enhancement of the written heritage of the agglomeration. They bring together the resources of the three communities of Romans, Valence and Valence Romans Agglo. Present on the territory on two sites, they are closest to the inhabitants.
They cover local history from the 14th century to the present day. Thanks to the wealth and diversity of resources, this local history, that of people, institutions or constructions, is traced: through administrative archives from (inter)communal services or private archives (companies, associations, individuals, etc.); through periodicals or the local fund; through rare and precious books such as illuminated manuscripts or incunabula.
The site of Romans takes place in a private mansion of the 18th century rehabilitated in place of conservation and valorization of the heritage.
