A map is given at the entrance of the fort. The proposed circuit allows to discover 40 years of restoration. In the restored buildings, one person welcomes the public. Slideshow, exhibitions and photos presented in the different houses allow to understand the path traveled since 1984. The restorations carried out in La Sauvetat, the creation of the Maison des Forts and the AFVA (Association des Forts Villageois d'Auvergne) gave a place to the Forts Villageois in the Auvergne region. The links forged with the University of Toulouse working on the same subject gave rise to the idea of a Conservatory. The CONSERVATOIRE DES FORTS VILLAGEOIS is located in the Fort de la Sauvetat in buildings partly restored by the Friends of the Commandery. On this occasion, the Heritage Foundation is supporting the launch of a subscription for the development of the headquarters of the Conservatory and will provide entertainment.
