Days of the MATRIMOINE.
• ISADORA Duncan revolutionized the art of dance in the early 20th century (art movement known as ‘FREE DANCE’, 1900-1938) by returning to the Nature and Art of ancient Greece and the Renaissance, and by a deep and innovative emotional relationship to Living Music (Schubert, Chopin, Gluck, Grieg, Beethoven, Scriabin, Tchaikovsky, Wagner, etc)!
• Through her art and remarkable freedom of expression, Isadora Duncan restored her place to the beauty and harmony of the body in deep resonance with music; she founded the beginnings of Modern Dance (1900-1938) at the origin of Contemporary Dance.
• From 1924, the wonderful dancer LISA DUNCAN (1898-1976), Isadorable, Isadora’s pupil and adopted daughter, performed in Paris and created a dance school at the Théâtre des Champs Élysées. Alone and with her students, she performed in Paris until 1938 where she enjoyed unanimous success.
• These exceptional public rehearsals and the exchanges offered on the occasion of the Matrimony Days 2023 will also be an opportunity to evoke the echoes that Isadora Duncan and her students (the Isadorables), in particular Lisa Duncan, had on the emergence and development of Free Dance in Paris (1922-1938).

• At the end of the session, it will be offered to people who wish it—adults and children alike—a small shared moment to ENTER smoothly into Isadora Duncan’s DANCE and discover and feel the spirit (accessible to anyone, without prerequisites).
