The market house of 1273 was replaced in 1440 by halls looking like a cathedral: 80 m long, 20 m wide and 10 high. The building, which is divided into three bays, is supported by huge oak pillars on which the oak frame also rests.
Half destroyed in 1670 by a fire, they were rebuilt identically thanks to the generosity of Mademoiselle de Montpensier Comtesse de Châtillon, who allowed the inhabitants to take the necessary wood in her forest of Tanay.
They are classified Historical Monuments, host every Saturday morning the market with fresh products and serve for events.
