This building is the church of the former Benedictine priory (north nave). Gregory of Tours mentions the church of Marsat between 537 and 590\. The main relic of the treasure was the belt of the Virgin, whose existence was noted in 1698 by the bishop of Clermont. In the 7th century, Bishop Saint-Priest founded a monastery of women who, in 1165, adopted the rule of Saint Benedict, under the obedience of the abbey of Mozat. The church is presented in the form of two adjoining buildings, a Romanesque part forming today its northern collateral whose construction dates back to the 10th century. The vessel, which is today the nave, dates from the 13th century and has more recent vaults. Octagonal bell tower of the 18th or 19th centuries.
