Pierre CHICO-SARRO, of the association «Recherches Historiques en Velin» held two conferences on the history of mulberry trees in the Velin. He has been working on the Napoleonic cadastre since 2000, and on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) since 2003. He has a lot of data on agriculture in Genas. It will present the history of the cultivation of mulberry trees in Genas in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, cultivated as part of the breeding of silkworms.
He will be assisted for the conference of Annie DARGAUD, of the Fédération du Patrimoine de l'Est Lyonnais.
