Collections Marseille and the sea in antiquity
An exceptional remnant of a Roman warehouse between the 6th century B.C. and the 4th century A.D. illustrating port activity and the transit port. The objects presented come from underwater archaeological research: amphoras, fittings, objects of daily life, etc.

This exceptional Roman warehouse remains evokes the port activity of Marseilles between the 6th century BC and the 4th AD. The very vocation of the city as a transit port is revealed here thanks to the testimonies of the objects presented, the fruits of underwater archaeological research: amphorae, fittings, objects of daily life…
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday: 9am to 6pm. Closed weekly on Mondays, except Easter Mondays and Pentecost Mondays. Closed on 1 January, 1 May, 1 and 11 November, 25 and 26 December.
Rates: Free for young people under 18 years, disabled and an accompanying person, leisure center without accommodation (CLSH), school, unemployed and beneficiary of the RSA... Reduced rate for people over 65, group purchases of more than 15 people…
