The work of Don Carlo Gesualdo, as paradoxical as its creator, is fully in line with the movement of the musica moderna.
By uniting the velvety voice of Claire Lefilliâtre with the refined and very incarnate play of the actor Raül Iaïza, this program brings together musical lyricism and theatrical expressiveness.
Café Zimmermann directed by harpsichordist Céline Frisch and violinist Pablo Valetti, in residence at the Théâtre du Jeu de Paume in Aix-en-Provence, is supported by the Ministry of Culture - Direction Régionale des Affaires Culturelles de Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, the Provence-Alpes-Côte-D'azur region, the Aix-Marseille-Provence/Pays d'Aix metropolis and the city of Aix-en-Provence.
