The temporary exhibition "The Life of the Buddha" presented by the House Alexandra David-Neel in partnership with the National Museum of Asian Arts - Guimet reveals the different episodes of the life of Siddhartha Gautama, the historical Buddha. By carefully observing this character on Tibetan paintings, we notice that he performs different movements and that he takes particular positions. All these gestures have a meaning and allow to recognize the different episodes of his incredible existence. During this workshop, young and old will be invited to identify these gestures, reproduce them and guess their meanings.
