A beautiful architecture combining that of a cloister and that of a castle of the Loire, such is the school building built in 1875 on the site of a convent closed to the French Revolution. In 1981, a new college made it possible to transform this site into a school of music. The Association des Anciens élèves du Collège François Viète welcomes visitors to the former visiting room (at the gate of the Collège 34 rue Rabelais) where many documents are exhibited: photos of classes of the 19th and 20th century, period books, administrative notebooks, awards, wall panels in memory of the students who died during the First World War. The external visit of the site will be proposed by former college students, and in addition the continuous projection of a slideshow: "In the walls of our old Viète College".
