During a one-hour guided tour, you will discover the transformation of a bourgeois house of directory style into a castle of Angevin neo-Gothic style in a green setting constituted by the park of 33 hectares that surrounds it.
This metamorphosis led by Rose and Théodore de Quatrebarbes between 1846 and 1848 with the help of the architect René Hodé is also an opportunity to tell the great and small history of Anjou.
On this occasion the Gallery is illuminated by a lighting process magnifying the colors of the paintings that cover it entirely. A video recording of the particularly striking details of these paintings is made on the billiard table transformed for the occasion into a giant screen.
