Visit of a marble museum
The museum presents the work of marble in the region of Sablé sur Sarthe from the 17th to the 20th century: quarries, marble, use for ornamentation and construction.

The museum presents the marble, the quarries, the various activities related to this noble stone, the tools used, the role of navigation, the very varied use of marble both in the field of ornamentation (altarpiece, altar, stoup...) and in that of construction (bridge, wall,...) A video of about 30 minutes tells the history of marble activity over time in the sandblasted area on Sarthe. The museum will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 6pm.
