Some of the most beautiful trees of the region radiate in the park of Martreil and have been listed «remarkable trees of Maine et Loire» by the General Council. Preserved in its original composition, this beautiful agricultural landscape park of the nineteenth century contains some 90 species of trees, both native and exotic. You will discover, at the bend of the meadows and groves, oaks quadricentenary, rare cormier tricentenaire, liquidambars exceptional (the tallest in France), plaqueminiers and tulipiers of Virginia, sequoias and cedars of Lebanon, but also plane trees of East and fir of Spain, Himalayan Cedars and Pines… Romantic souls will be seduced by its beautiful pond and the woods that surround it.
