Architecture and intangible heritage of our region

Visit of the castle, its park and its listed dovecote, embellished with animations by some actors of the intangible heritage
17 et 18 septembre 2022Passat
Laurence Ducellier

You can visit the castle (reception rooms), its park and dovecote listed as a historical monument.
And to illustrate in a broad sense the theme of Sustainable Heritage, several animations made by local artisans that will highlight a responsible work around other forms of our heritage.

  • A winegrower who has been farming 6 hectares in PDO Savennières and organic farming since 2012. Cultivating vines without synthetic products allows to maintain a life in the soils...
  • A textile trader who develops a responsible approach to clothing manufacturing.
  • A prime contractor who builds bio-climatic houses in such a way as to have the lowest impact on the environment by respecting a good emission/storage ratio of greenhouse gases.
  • A pastry chef who develops recipes based on locally sourced products with a very low sugar content. Tasting at the ephemeral "tea room" in the castle.
  • You will also be able to better understand the average carbon footprint of a French citizen and see some ways to adjust our daily lives to reduce the pressure we put on our beautiful Earth.

The origins of Thouaré Castle probably date back to the 10th century. Its Pigeonnier which constitutes one of the most important elements of the communal heritage, classified to the additional inventory of Historical Monuments, is among the best preserved buildings of the region.
This estate has known many owners and to date belongs to the Mathieu de Vienne family since 1880.
