Visit of the bunkers of Pignerolle
On the occasion of the Heritage Days, the association of the Memorial of the bunkers of Pignerolle, recognized association of general interest, offers guided tours of the bunkers and the underground part of the park of Pignerolle which were in turn the place of transfer of messages from the Kriegsmarine (German navy) from Berlin to the submarine bases and ships at sea between 1942 and 1944 (Battle of the Atlantic), home to many Angevins between 1946 and 1964 and a nuclear shelter planned for President De Gaulle.
The site is partially accessible to people with reduced mobility (not accessible to people travelling in wheelchairs).
In parallel, presentation of an exhibition entitled "1944, IN ANJOU LA LIBERTÉ" tracing the great moments of the Liberation of Maine-et-Loire.
