Existing at the end of XV°, the Seigneurie du Bois is the seat of a small fief belonging to the châtellenie of Montreuil-Bellay. The estate, including the buildings, suffered major deterioration after the Revolution. This complex is very evocative of the modest rural seigneuries of the Ancien Régime; of its walled enclosure remain the entrance gate, framed by two columns with vermiculated bosses and deep moats; the dwelling of small dimensions (15m x 8) whose construction takes place at the beginning of the XVI° has an irregular facade with large dormers in which opens, the only original decorative element, a door in basket handle surmounted by a decoration with a fleuron.
