The castle of Montreuil-Bellay presents an unusual guided tour! Grab a walking stick and go on an adventure in the bowels of the fortress. This fortified castle was first rebuilt in the 13th century on the remains of the first dungeon of Foulques Nerra. At the end of the 15th century, it was considerably enlarged with the addition of a new castle and it underwent several restoration campaigns in the 19th century.
