The first French submarine to dive under the ice, it constitutes an exceptional maritime heritage. In his belly, men and machines share a restricted space that vibrates with the sound of the aircraft and the orders of the officers.

Built in Le Havre, the Swordfish entered service in 1960\. 78 metres long, this submarine could dive for 5 to 6 days. Its missions were numerous: deterrence, monitoring of ocean areas, training for manoeuvres but also oceanographic surveys. His home base was Lorient.
