The land of Perrine was mentioned in 1293 on the occasion of its transfer to Geoffroy de Parné, against the delivery of golden spurs at each Pentecost to the lord of the city. From the 18th century, it passed to the family of Vauguyon, who built there in 1756 a madness (residence of pleasure surrounded by wood). In 1885, the whole of the land, lost to gambling, by its owner, is bought by the city which establishes there besides the museum of fine arts, a botanical garden. The park is characteristic of the eclectic style of the 19th century. From the tradition of the regular gardens "à la française", we remember the mail planted with lime trees intended for the social parade and the rose garden created in 1920\. From the English garden, the natural arrangement of the conifers of collection is preserved. As often in France, the walk is organized around an ellipse leading to the rarest tree (the Ginkgo) and vast lawns. Secluded places now house the space dedicated to the navigator Alain G
