- The heart of Ireland
Duo of traditional music with the sound of uillean pipes and bodhran for an immersion in the music and dances of Ireland.
Karine Luçon - Holder of the TMRF, Irish state diploma for traditional dance, Karine Luçon has several strings to his bow. Musician known for her bodhrán (percussive instrument of the family of drums on frame) mixing ancient and contemporary techniques, she is also director of many shows, notably with the troupe Avalon Celtic Dances, of which she is the artistic director. From Nantes, she teaches different styles of Irish dance at the Nantes Irish Dancing Academy.
François Luçon - From an early age, François Luçon was immersed in the music of Ireland and naturally turned to an instrument emblematic of these repertoires: the uilleann pipes. This very complex bagpipe, a real «instrument-orchestra» is characterized by its soft, woody timbre. François Luçon’s play, strongly inspired by the style of County Clare, is recognizable by its energy and impact. Enriching his style with many contributions, ranging from European popular music to baroque, François plays notably for the shows of the Avalon Celtic Dances troupe. He was also present in the films shot by Le Nouveau Pavillon at the Château des ducs de Bretagne in 2021. - Horn ensemble from the Nantes Conservatory
