Quai des mariniers, 49350 Le Thoureil

Le Thoureil Founded in 1040 by the Abbey of Saint-Nicolas d'Angers the church was ruined over the centuries by the floods of the Loire caused by the construction on the right bank of La Grande Levée d'Anjou from the 12th century. It was rebuilt in the 19th century. Its 13th century side steeple, on a «barlong» plan, has resisted and always seems to take a foothold in the river.
