Tribute to Blaschka, Exhibition of Anne and Patrick Poirier
Invited by the Musée de La Roche-sur-Yon, Anne and Patrick Poirier have designed an original work. In 1979, they made a tribute in the form of a photographic herbarium to the glass herbarium of Leopold (1822-1895) and Rudolph (1857-1939) Blaschka. In 2022, they continue their reflection on “the fragility of peace, of memory, on the violence of wars, of murdered cities, on incomprehensible hatred in this spring 2022”. This new series, with some forty digital prints, is being rolled out in the aisles of Victor Schoelcher Square. It invites the walker to a contemplative experience and reminds him of the ephemeral character of everything, as long as he takes the time to decipher these clichés where the bucolic dimension rubs shoulders with the tragic.
