Superb stables east of the Castle of Trier, built in the seventeenth century. by "Le Grand Condé". Marshal de Maillé-Brézé succeeded in acquiring the domain of Trèves by recourse in 1642 through his brother-in-law, Cardinal de Richelieu. When his daughter Claire-clémence married Louis II of Bourbon, known as «the Grand Condé», she brought as dowry all her possessions. Condé built splendid stables east of the Château, which far from being able to compete with those of Chantilly, are however very interesting.
