Bourg-Joly Malicorne wurde 1747 von Jean Loiseau im Herzen des Saartals gegründet. Es ist das älteste noch in Betrieb befindliche Fayence-Unternehmen in Malicorne.
Steingut, oder emailliertes Terrakotta, erschien im 16. Jahrhundert in Frankreich. Ursprünglich wurden Muster aus Holz oder Metall für den täglichen Gebrauch hergestellt. In den folgenden zwei Jahrhunderten entwickelten sie sich zu fein gearbeiteten Formen, eleganten Proportionen und handgemalten künstlerischen Motiven. Weißer Ton wurde verwendet, um die besten Ergebnisse für die begehrtesten Teile zu erzielen. Aufwendige Meisterwerke und außergewöhnliche Handschnitztechniken trugen zum Bau des Namens Bourg-Joly Malicorne und zum Ruhm seiner Produkte in ganz Frankreich bei.
Im Laufe unseres 250-jährigen Bestehens wurden diese Kompetenzen und dieses Know-how von Generation zu Generation weitergegeben. Seit April 2009 führt eine neue Generation von Enthusiasten Tradition, Geschichte und Design im 21. Jahrhundert fort.

Bourg-Joly Malicorne, an art ceramics factory in Bourg-Joly, was founded in 1747 in the heart of the Sarthe valley by Jean Loiseau. It is the oldest earthenware company still in operation in Malicorne.
Earthenware, or glazed terracotta, appeared in France in the 16th century. Originally reproducing patterns traditionally made of wood or metal for everyday use, they evolved over the next two centuries into finely crafted shapes, elegant proportions and hand-painted artistic motifs. White clay has been used to produce the best results for the most sought-after parts. Elaborate masterpieces and exceptional hand-carving techniques contributed to the construction of the name of Bourg-Joly Malicorne and the reputation of its products throughout France.
In our 250 years of existence, these skills and know-how have been handed down from generation to generation. Since April 2009, a new generation of enthusiasts continues the tradition, our history and our designs in the 21st century.
Today, our artisans have been making and painting our products by hand for more than 250 years. By preserving the French heritage, our historical traditions and our ancestral techniques, we create heritage pieces that are both classic and contemporary, and will appeal to future generations.

Bourg-Joly Malicorne, maiolica d'arte del Bourg-Joly, è stata fondata nel 1747, nel cuore della valle della Sarthe da Jean Loiseau. È la più antica azienda di terracotta ancora in attività a Malicorne.
La terracotta, o terracotta smaltata, è apparsa in Francia nel 16 º secolo. Riproducendo in origine motivi tradizionalmente realizzati in legno o metallo per uso quotidiano, nei due secoli successivi si sono evoluti in forme finemente lavorate, proporzioni eleganti e motivi artistici dipinti a mano. L'argilla bianca è stata utilizzata per produrre i migliori risultati per le parti più ricercate. Bourg-Joly Malicorne, faïencerie d’art du Bourg-Joly, a été fondée en 1747, au cœur de la vallée de la Sarthe par Jean Loiseau. C'est la plus ancienne entreprise de faïence encore en activité à Malicorne.
La faïence, ou terre cuite émaillée, est apparue en France au 16ème siècle. Reproduisant à l'origine des motifs traditionnellement fabriqués en bois ou en métal pour un usage quotidien, ils ont évolué au cours des deux siècles suivants vers des formes finement travaillées, des proportions élégantes et des motifs artistiques peints à la main. L'argile blanche a été utilisée pour produire les meilleurs résultats pour les pièces les plus recherchées. Des chefs-d'œuvre élaborés et des techniques de sculpture à la main exceptionnelles ont contribué à la construction du nom de Bourg-Joly Malicorne et à la renommée de ses produits dans toute la France.
Au cours de nos 250 ans d’existence, ces compétences et ce savoir-faire se sont transmis de génération en génération. Depuis avril 2009, une nouvelle génération de passionnés perpétue la tradition, notre histoire et nos designs dans le 21ème siècle.

La loza, o terracota esmaltada, apareció en Francia en el siglo 16. Al principio reproducían motivos tradicionalmente fabricados en madera o metal para uso diario, evolucionaron durante los dos siglos siguientes hacia formas finamente trabajadas, proporciones elegantes y motivos artísticos pintados a mano. La arcilla blanca se ha utilizado para producir los mejores resultados para las piezas más buscadas. Obras maestras elaboradas y técnicas de escultura a mano excepcionales han contribuido a la construcción del nombre de Bourg-Joly Malicorne y a la fama de sus productos en toda Francia.
