Mr. Francis MUEL, General Curator of Heritage, will give a lecture at 4 pm at the church of Notre Dame de Riez. It will deal with the history of the monstrance belonging to the municipality. It was reportedly donated by Louis XIII to the parish of Notre Dame de Riez on April 16, 1622, at the end of the Battle of the Isle de Rié, which we are celebrating 400 years this year. This conference takes place in the framework of the "Le Grand Siècle" animation that takes place until the end of 2022 in several municipalities of the Pays de Saint Gilles Agglomération. The monstrance will be visible in the church all this day of September 17.
