Discover an authentic cave and its prehistoric art, accompanied by a guide!

The conference visit, which lasts about 1 hour, takes the visitor one kilometre from the entrance to the cave. It is an opportunity to discover a cave with exceptional dimensions for the Périgord, first frequented by the bear, whose traces are omnipresent, then by Magdalenian artists, nearly 17,000 years ago. The latter dispersed in the galleries 250 animal figures among which the mammoths dominate. Indeed, this species, usually secondary in the art of caves, is 170 times represented in the cave of Rouffignac, relegating bison, horse, ibex and woolly rhinoceros to the background.
