Temple de Baigts
98 route impériale, 64300 Baigts-de-Béarn
- Pyrénées-Atlantiques
- Nouvelle-Aquitaine
19th. Vaud architecture with original furniture and stained glass windows. The temple of Baigts is the third Protestant temple on the commune. This monument is a unique testimony of the history of Protestantism in Béarn. Its position, its architecture and its history give it a singular character and, to say the least, an unparalleled charm. The temple of Baigts was built according to the Swiss model, which gives it all its originality. Built near the place where the desert assemblies were held, it is also very close to the Lacoustasse house which welcomed Pastor Jacques Reclus and his family.
