A unique place in the heart of Périgord Noir, dedicated to the photographer Robert Doisneau and to the art of photography in general.
It is to pay tribute to this humanist photographer that the project «La Gare: Espace Robert Doisneau» was born.
The idea of rehabilitating the old Carlux station to make it an exhibition gallery dedicated to Robert Doisneau, starts from the famous photo taken in 1939 in front of the station where you can see his wife Pierrette Doisneau and three of his friends.
This space welcomes
* Two photographic art galleries,
* The tourist office of the Pays de Fénelon,
* A multipurpose cultural room (Temporary exhibitions, mediation room and artistic residence...)
* A training room,
* A coffee,
* A shop
All our exhibitions are free so come and visit us!
