Classified as a Historic Monument, the castle was built in 1763 by the Limousin architect Joseph Brousseau. The Count of Choulot designed the landscaped park in 1857.
The Castle of Scotland is a private estate that has belonged to the same family for almost three centuries.
The main courtyard is entered through a monumental granite porch decorated with superb ironwork.
You will discover the courtyard of honour, the vestibule with granite stairs and wrought iron ramp of the eighteenth century, the living room (woodwork, decoration), the dining room (woodwork and trophies), the terrace with facade with wrought iron balcony, view of an agricultural landscaped park desired by the Count de Choulot.
