Located between Evaux-les-bains and Budelière in the Creuse, it crosses the Tardes not far from its confluence with the Cher. Its construction was completed on November 4, 1921, and it replaced an old sunken footbridge after the construction of the Rochebut Dam.
At each of its extremities stand two high granite masonry pylons, paired at their summit. They support numerous steel cables attached to the valley walls via concrete abutments. The six main cables curve harmoniously. From these, the guy wires that attach the metal girders to the deck come out. On these rests the floor which counts at least 597 oak sleepers of about twenty centimetres wide and 8 thick. On each side a narrow metal ledge allows pedestrians to walk.
