Église Saint-Michel
Place de l'église, 24350 La Chapelle-Gonaguet
- Dordogne
- Nouvelle-Aquitaine
The parish church of Saint-Michel dates from the 12th century and was remodeled in the 14th and 16th centuries.
Although the church itself is not classified as a Historical Monument, part of the ecclesiastical furnishings it contains is: bleacher, tabernacle, seventeenth-century altarpiece and high altar.
The bell, which dates from 1807, was melted with the bronze of the cannons taken from the Austrians by Napoleon I during the victory of Austerlitz on December 2, 1805.
