The ride:
Accompanied by Patricia or Malika, both floiracaises, come and discover the Bas Floirac, leaning against the green hillsides. Let’s take a tour on the old railway track, witness to the industrial past of the city which resulted in the sustainable settlement of the inhabitants on Bas Floirac. Let’s stop and breathe at the edge of the pond, railway gardens or Castel Park to enjoy a moment of peace and greenery. Discover the Floiracaise cultural life of yesterday and today by crossing the M270 and the Francisco Goya square, site of the old arenas.
To be confirmed again: a surprise is reserved for walkers during a walk!
Organized in partnership with Aquitanis.
The association:
The Alternative Urbaine Bordeaux is developing a form of local and supportive tourism.
We have two missions:
Organize unusual walks in the unfamiliar or unfamiliar areas of the metropolis to contribute to a change of look.
→ Train and then hire local residents away from work to lead a cultural season of walks as an urban scout. This paid activity is a springboard back to a chosen and sustainable job.

The construction of the church of Saint Vincent around which the parish and then the commune of Floirac were formed dates back to the 12th century. The cultivation of vines on the territory also began at that time. The 19th century was marked by the installation in Floirac of the Bletts capsules company, and by the creation and commissioning of the Bordeaux observatory. Construction of the Napoleon Bridge, or “stone bridge” began in 1808 and was completed in 1881\. It brings Floirac considerably closer to the city centre of Bordeaux. From 1900, the town was connected to Bordeaux by train. The tram serves the east of the city from 2007, at the Dravemont district.
