Tasting workshop: Discovering the Prosecco Superiore
The City of Wine invites you to discover the Prosecco Superiore, the great sparkling wine DOCG (Denomination of Controlled Origin and Guarantee) of the Venice region, for a commented tasting.
During this commented tasting of three types of Prosecco Superiore, come and enjoy the diversity of sparkling wines of Prosecco de Conegliano and Valdobbiadene accompanied by appetizers!
Prosecco Superiore is a sparkling wine produced exclusively on the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, an exceptional landscape classified as a UNESCO heritage site.
This high quality sparkling wine is produced from the Glera grape variety. The appellation, composed of 15 municipalities, stands out within the much larger Prosecco production area. It takes its name from two historic villages: Conegliano, cultural capital, which saw the birth of Prosecco thanks to its school of oenology, the oldest in Italy, where the method of production of Prosecco was perfected; and Valdobbiadene, heart of production and terroir with singular beauty.
Eaten regularly as an aperitif and during festive moments, the Prosecco Superior is also a gastronomic wine that goes perfectly with many dishes.
