Mirville Castle was built in the 1530s on the basis of an older construction. He has been in the same family since the beginning. Pierre de Coubertin, founder of the Modern Olympic Games, spent his entire youth there. The 15 hectares surrounding the castle are farmed in organic agriculture. The remains of a 12th century seigneurial motte are visible on the site. Video to watch:

As every year for 50 years the site of the Chateau de Mirville is open to visitors during the Heritage Days. The 16th century castle was the home of Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the Modern Olympic Games. It is since the origin the property of the same family. A short distance from the castle one can see the remains of a seigneurial motte of the 12th century
