On Saturday 17 September 2022, come and visit the Perche ecomuseum and its rich collection of objects for free.
Find the atmosphere of the workshops of the past: the blacksmith and his colleague the saddler, the carpenter and the saws of length, the sabotier ...
Since 1972, the museum has collected testimonies, objects and documents that trace the history of the men and women of the country.
You can also visit the Priory of Sainte-Gauburge and discover the church with a temporary exhibition, the Prior’s home and its 2 historic monumental chimneys, the home of the monks, the orchard...a moment out of time!

The priory of Sainte-Gauburge is at the origin of a very well kept(preserved) hamlet the housing environment of which is grouped(included) around this building of the XIIIth, XVth and XVIIIth centuries. This set(group) is in the programme of the guided tour: the church and its sculpted decoration(set), the home of the prior in historiées fireplaces, tower of staircase adorned with sculptures, the vaulted rooms of the home of the monks, the protective orchard and a bend by the court(yard) of the farm and its peasant vegetable garden. The ecomuseum of the Perche(Perch), located in the remarkable executive(frame) of the old(former) Priory has as vocation to pass on(transmit) and to safeguard the geographical, historic and ethnological heritage of the Perche(Perch). The Musée des Arts et Traditions Populaires presents an ethnographic panorama of the territory percheron. Moreover, temporary exhibitions(exposures), animations, internships(training courses) and conferences give rhythm to the life of this ecomuseum throughout the year.
