Show: Baroque impromptu / Et pop! au château – Le Neubourg festival
Baroque impromptu
MARIANNE SELESKOVITCH
For this impromptu, mezzo-soprano Marianne Seleskovitch interprets a capella arias from the French and English baroque repertoire, from Purcell to Lully and Marais.
After a double training at the Conservatory and at the University, in Singing and Musicology, she specializes in contemporary creation, rarely performed repertoires and musical theatre. She regularly performs in recital, works with pianist Elsa Cantor, in the company «La Chambre aux Echos», and with the feminist artist collective «Les Platonnes». She has performed at the Académie d'été de Flaine, the Festival Terraqué de Carnac, the Nantes Opera in Kaija Saariaho’s The Passion of Simone, a role she played in Copenhagen, New York and Bergen.
As a side note to "L'impromptu de Versailles", an improvised piece by Molière for Louis XIV, «les impromptus» play out in a playful, unexpected and spontaneous way the artistic identity of the festival in reference to the magical opera "La Toison d'or" by Corneille created in the Old TownCastle in 1660, between theatre, music and wonderful travel…
