Guided tour: the rich history of Saint-André-sur-Cailly, from the Gallo-Romans to the present day

The proposed walk evokes a 2,000-year history, rich in testimonies present, sometimes hidden, or disappeared, some of which recall the great changes of the rural world in the nineteenth century.

The rich history of Saint André des Gallo Romans to the present day
The Gallo-Roman theatre of the Boulevey (traces still visible), the 12th church, the cross to the lady, the old presbytery (the current town hall), the gift of the Marquise de Joyeuse to the abbot Ravette, are the testimonies of a rich history beginning 2000 years ago
The horse post of Vert-Galant, the hunting-tide, the disappeared churches of Pibeuf and Saint Jean, Adrien Guérard de la Quesnerie, Edouard Fortier evoke, for their part, the great mutations of the 19th century affecting the rural world.
