Renovation of the Saint-Taurin Church
This abbey church, which was visited by Saint-Louis in 1259, is a digest of architecture, with a Romanesque nave dating from the 12th century, a choir, vaults, windows and north gothic triforium from the 15th century. As for the exterior, they are of classical style of the seventeenth century. In 2023, major multi-year restoration work will begin, extending into 2029. These will allow, in particular, the return in a new case of the eponymous shrine.
In the perspective of this next restoration, Maxime Faure, Heritage Architect (Agency Lympia Architecture) in charge of the renovation work of the church, will be present on the site to explain to you what the restoration work will consist of.
