Deborah, Patrice and François, the three Atlantis musicians have been working together for many years, performing both in France and abroad. If Atlantis exists since 1998, it took them until this year to mature their repertoire and decide to perform on stage and record their first album. Their jazz-folk repertoire includes original compositions based on English and French texts (Emily Dickinson, E.E. Cummings, W.H. Auden...) arranged jazz standards as well as covers (Joni Mitchell, Tim Buckley, The National...). Deborah Lennie’s velvety and fiery voice and François Chesnel’s fine and intense touch meet in the interstice of Patrice Grente’s exhilarating and spirited play and his magical double bass.
