Free visit or accompanied by mediation by students in archaeology, art history and heritage
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the two sites of the Institut national d'histoire de l'art, the Galerie Colbert, former shopping gallery, and the prestigious Salle Labrouste, library of the Institut national d'histoire de l'art, designed by architect Henri Labrouste are accessible on a free visit or accompanied by a mediation by students in archaeology, art history and heritage. Visitors will be able to discover the little-known history of the Parisian passage that is the Galerie Colbert. In the library, the public will admire the spectacular reading room with its painted ceramics and decorations, the medallions decorated with gold leaf, the monumental caryatids or the tyre installed in 1932.
