In the open air, walking through the 7 hectares of this beautiful landscaped park, discover the history of the place, that of the unfortunate princess, sister of Louis XVI, as well as some aspects of the policy of natural valorization of the places by the Departmental Council of Yvelines.
This year exceptionally no visit to the house - closed for work until December.

Designed and created in the second half of the eighteenth century for the prince and princess of Rohan-Guémené, the estate was formerly called Domaine de Montreuil. Louis XVI had acquired it in 1783 to offer it to his younger sister, Madame Elisabeth, who spent happy days there until the Revolution. At the end of the Empire, the house, profoundly transformed, took its present appearance. The house and its park are now the property of the Conseil départemental des Yvelines. The English-style park, a reproduction of an idealized nature, is open every day (except winter). The house is open to the public exceptionally on the occasion of the European Heritage Days.
